Two songs

Today is the best day of my life!!! Ok, not the best day of my life, but at least a really great one. I woke up in a good mood, the sun is shining, flowers blooming all over the place, my roommate brought me blossoms from an orange tree, and I got a new book in the mail! I love spring. So many things happen in the spring, and even greater things in the summer. I feel like autumn and winter are kind of just along for the ride. Sure, stuff happens during those seasons but it's just kind of leftover from the awesomeness of the other six months.

So to commemorate my happy happy springtime feeling, I have some songs.

This is Matt Bishop (from the band Hey Marseilles) singing one of the songs from their new CD. Which is amazing. So freaking amazing. Harmonica? Yes. I love how you can see Seattle in the background. Please go to their website and listen to "Rio". Please please. On their myspace page, they describe themselves as sounding like--

"creaking sailboats, lucid dreams, war stories told from your grand-father, wood chips, whiffle ball, a cat chasing a squirrel, girl-scout troop meetings, sleeping in on a sunday afternoon, a rainy day at the beach."

What's the world record for falling in love? A nanosecond? One hundredth of a nanosecond?

Another springy life-altering band is Seabear. Better than box full of kittens.

You've got a diamond under your skin
